Story Time:

The morning mist settles on the forest floor. Scattered sun beams sneak through the canopy. The campfire crackles and the smell of cooked rabbit awakens the last sleeping traveler. Colin crawls out of his sleeping bag and sits down by the fire. His companion, Damon, hands him a rabbit’s leg.

The forest is oddly silent. No birds are greeting the sun. No insects are chirping. The feeling that you are being watched sits on everyone’s mind. The feeling that someone or something is out there watching your every move.

Colin stands up and mentions he is going to relieve himself. His footsteps seem loud in the silent forest. He finds a suitable tree, takes the appropriate stance then pauses. A flicker of movement catches his attention out of the corner of his left eye. He turns his head and remains still. Listening. Watching.

Damon hears a scream and sees Colin running back clutching his arm. Colin yells, “Undead!” The End
